Judith Windeler whose pen name is Minerva Taylor, is a former teacher and librarian. She has been a travel writer for twenty years and has published many humorous articles about her family in both magazines and newspapers.
She combines her lifelong interest in the environment and family values in ‘The Mole Brothers’ Magnificent Mission’, employing these themes in this tale of two tiny moles fighting encroachment by humans. In a role reversal the mole children take responsibility from adults in a brave attempt to save family and friends.
In ‘James and the Mini’ she again combines her interest in family values and empowerment of children with humor. James is an exciting adventure story of an American boy whose family has moved to London. He wants to be grown up and dreams of driving the family Mini through London. When he discovers his mother has no sense of direction he takes charge. In this role reversal, a small boy takes responsibility and helps out in what eventually becomes an emergency.
An American living in London, Judith spends her summers with family in Quogue Long Island. She is married with two children and has traveled the world with them. Their adventures provided the inspiration for these stories.
